Warranty Policy
This Warranty Policy describes how warranties work for items sold at https://shopexpedite.com.
1. Manufacturer-Backed Warranties
Most products sold by Shop Expedite are covered by the manufacturer's warranty for the period and terms published by that manufacturer. Warranty length depends on the product category and the fulfilling supplier; examples typically range from 30 days to 2 years.
The warranty terms on the product page, packaging insert or manufacturer website prevail in case of any discrepancy.
2. Supplier-Backed Warranties
Some suppliers in our network offer their own supplier-level warranty in addition to (or instead of) the manufacturer's. When applicable, the supplier warranty is disclosed on the product page or invoice.
3. What Is Covered
A valid warranty typically covers:
- Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship.
- Failure under normal use within the warranty period.
- DOA (Dead on Arrival) items reported within 7 days of delivery.
4. What Is NOT Covered
Warranties generally exclude:
- Improper installation (incorrect wiring, missing fuses, reversed polarity, etc.).
- Damage caused by accidents, collisions, vehicle fires, water intrusion or off-road events.
- Modifications of the product (cutting, drilling, painting, soldering).
- Wear and tear, fading, discoloration or aesthetic changes from sun/heat/road salt.
- Labor, removal, reinstallation, alignment, calibration or programming costs.
- Towing fees, rental vehicles, vehicle downtime, lost income or indirect damages.
- Damage caused by abuse, neglect, overloading or use outside the product's intended specifications.
- Items installed on vehicles used for competition, off-road racing or commercial activities that exceed the manufacturer's stated use, unless explicitly approved.
5. How to File a Warranty Claim
- Email support@shopexpedite.com with subject "Warranty Claim — Order #XXXXX".
- Include the order number, product name and a clear description of the issue.
- Attach photos (and a short video when possible) showing the defect, installation context, and any error indicators (warning lights, smoke, scorching).
- We forward the claim to the fulfilling supplier or manufacturer for evaluation. Decisions may require manufacturer inspection or technical bench review.
- Once the claim is approved we coordinate the replacement, repair or refund per the manufacturer's terms.
6. Required Documentation
Some manufacturers require additional information before approving claims:
- Photo of the product label / serial number.
- Photo of the vehicle and installation.
- Wiring diagram or installer's invoice for electrical items.
- Diagnostic scan report when applicable.
Failure to supply requested documentation may delay or void the claim.
7. Replacement vs. Refund
When a claim is approved, the manufacturer or supplier may choose to:
- Send a replacement of the same or equivalent product.
- Send a repair / replacement part.
- Issue a refund when neither of the above is possible.
The outcome is determined by the warranty owner (manufacturer or supplier), not by Shop Expedite.
8. Warranty Transfer
Most warranties are non-transferable and apply only to the original purchaser identified by the Shop Expedite order. Resold items typically lose warranty coverage.
9. International / Off-Road / Commercial Use
Coverage may be reduced or excluded for:
- Items installed on vehicles outside the United States.
- Items used in racing, mining, agriculture, military or other heavy-duty environments unless explicitly approved.
- Vehicles modified beyond the manufacturer's recommended specifications.
10. Limitation of Liability
In all cases the maximum warranty liability is limited to the purchase price of the affected product. Shop Expedite is not liable for installation costs, vehicle downtime, towing, rental vehicles, or other indirect or consequential damages, except where prohibited by applicable consumer law.
